on Fri Jun 10, 2016 12:09 am
My new Windows 8.1 computer has Paint installed.  I was just wondering what is the best format to save and upload my images?

As with any Digital media program, the answer depends on what your using the image for.

.JPEG - for most images that don't require transparency.
. PNG and .GIF both save in transparency,
but with the GIF, you can also save animation. I mainly use .JPEG and .PNG, the only time i use .GIF is if i have an animated file.
Hope this helps.

Well, .png files are larger in file size--however, that's because overall, they are better in quality--especially for larger images.

If you're creating smaller images and you don't need transparency, .jpeg is the way to go. ^^ It's all pretty much as Scorpions says.
